We are planning our annual conference as a face-to-face event under the 2G rule or the legal regulations applicable in 2023.

The scientific focus of the conference is on the therapy of rare diseases. While we have uncovered nearly 7,000 disease-causing genes, and there are fantastic therapeutic advances in some diseases, such as spinal muscular atrophy, our contribution to the development of new therapies based on genetic knowledge is needed more than ever.

We have a broad, balanced program with top-class speakers from all over the world. I hope for your active participation with exciting results, discussions and interactions. And how could it have been otherwise, we plan a special social evening with enough space for lively dances, but also retreats for interesting conversations and of course with delicious food. I am very much looking forward to our joint meeting from 15 to 17 March 2023 in Kassel.
